Fees and Criteria

How does it work?

Whole Kosher Services is a modest friendly kosher certification organization mainly operating in the southwest region of North America. We are not burdened by expensive overhead costs that affect the large, national kosher certification companies. This allows us to provide kosher certification at substantial discounts compared to others. At Whole Kosher Services, we understand that each processing facility is unique. Price quotes will be customized and will be based on the following fees criteria:

Frequency of Visits

  • Depending upon the nature of the products being packed, a plant may need to be visited anywhere from one to six times per year.

Number of Ingredients

  • Finished products with few ingredients require less supervision visits than products with many ingredients.

Sensitivity of Ingredients

  • Some food items are considered more sensitive than others. For example, oils are considered sensitive and require the plant to be visited more frequently. Items such as refined sugar and butter would require fewer inspections.

Location of Processing Facility

  • Travel expenses are included in quotes. Therefore, pricing will reflect necessary transportation costs, including air travel, car rental, and hotel.

Square Footage of Facility

  • Larger facilities require longer inspection and, therefore, more time.

Number of Processing Facilities

  • Multiple processing facilities will require additional travel expenses.

Multi-Use Facilities or Equipment

  • Facilities or machinery that is used to process multiple items often require additional supervision. Care must be taken to ensure non-kosher products are not produced on the same processing lines or machinery as kosher products.

Go kosher!

A Kosher certification provides a marketing advantage over non-certified products, by offering a wide range of choices to traditional and non-traditional kosher consumers.
